В поисках лучшей жизни для своей дочери бывший игрок бейсбольной лиги Тони Миселли переезжает из нью-йоркского Бруклина в Фэрфилд, Коннектикут и устраивается домохозяином в дом бизнесвумен Анджелы Бауэр. Мужчине предстоит немало хлопот: заниматься воспитанием дочери Саманты и стать примером для подражания у сына Анджелы Джонатана. Кроме того Мона, мать его начальницы, постоянно втягивает Тони в свои авантюры.
